Meet Our Team from

Mumbai, India

Mumbai, dubbed Maximum City, is India’s largest city with a population density that’s largely unimaginable. Located on the Indian Ocean, Mumbai is known for Bollywood and business– and according to climate reports, it could sink soon.

Our Mumbai team is a group of young college-goers and early-career enthusiasts, with a zeal for solving social challenges and a passion for climate action.

They have started working with the many universities located in the city. Their logic is that change starts from centres of knowledge, and they are thus embarking upon this journey of effective waste management.

They have effectively composted a total of 4 tonnes of dry garden waste as well as food waste by setting up aerobic compost pits, windrow heaps and anaerobic tumblers.
